Take I-35 north from Austin 27 miles to Exit 259 onto Business 89 toward Georgetown. Turn left under overpass and cross railroad tracks to cave headquarters. |

Few mineral formations obscure the beautifully sculpted walls of Longhorn Cavern, which mark the convoluted meanders of an ancient stream. The cave is reknown for its colorful history, having served as a Comanche hideout, Civil War black powder factory, refuge for bandit Sam Bass, a dance hall, restaurant and church. |

Take Natural Bridge Caverns exit (mile 175) from I-35 between San Antonio and New Braunfels. Continue on County Route 3009 northwest for 7.5 miles. Natural Bridge's private road leads one mile to cave. |
